Visit to Jhuljhuli in reference to Land Pooling Policy and Delhi Master Plan, 2041
A team from the Centre for Law and Urban Development, NLU Delhi, comprising of its Executive Director Dr. Prem Chand and two students Aman Sain and Vatsal Jindel visited Jhuljhuli village on December 6.
They met with the officials from its Resident Welfare Association, Jhuljhuli, Nazafgarh and discussed their concerns pertaining to inclusive and sustainable development of the village in the context of its urbanisation due to the expansion of city of Delhi.
The team was briefed about other studies, key ground level issues that are overlooked by Master Development Plan 2041 and Land Pooling Policy, as well as the village’s own preferred development plans. The centre looks forward to contribute positively to this crucial issue of urbanisation of villages by analysing relevant policies and formulating inclusive recommendations.
