Dr. Prem Chand

Dr. Prem Chand graduated in law from the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
Thereafter, he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He was awarded a Ph.D. in cyber laws. Additionally, he is NET Qualified.
Before joining National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) in November 2013, Dr. Prem Chand taught various subjects, at Faculty of Law, University of Delhi from 2009 to 2013.
In addition to his teaching and organizational roles, Dr. Prem Chand is the Executive Director of the Centre for Law and Urban Development at NLU Delhi. His teaching portfolio at LL.B. and LL.M levels includes Contract, Companies, Property, Torts and Business Regulations.
His academic journey is not limited to this. Having authored 3 published papers, he has contributed significantly to legal understanding and jurisprudence.
His contributions towards organising and participating at various conferences and seminars is noteworthy. These include seminars on Urban Development, Housing and various other related fields.
Currently, Dr. Prem Chand is a Member, Drafting Committee of Model Rural Transformation Act, 2023 under the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India.
Dr. Prem Chand’s profound contributions in these varied domains of law make him a highly respected and well-known figure in the legal circles.
